Asset management in ALFA provides end-to-end asset lifecycle support, from specification to disposal.

Through integration with multiple internal and external catalogues, ALFA Asset Management enables the effective capture of all assets. Dedicated data, specific to asset types - including detailed information on vehicles, trucks, rail, airplane and IT equipment - is maintained.

The complete specification of an asset and any of its subsidiary assets can also be managed, allowing control and tracking of the parent and each of the components, where required.

Comprehensive support is provided for add-on services, such as maintenance and insurance reviews. Workflow capabilities monitor all assets to ensure that services are managed effectively, and automated wherever possible. This detailed services tracking allows you to assess the whole-life profitability of assets, and evaluate budget versus actual spend.

Asset Explorer is used to search the portfolio and triggers processes based on search results. Bulk management of assets is used where necessary (such as when preparing to sell a group of stock assets).

Any necessary actions, such as additions, deletions or exchanges of assets within a contract, can be undertaken. A full asset history is retained.

Asset usage is recorded and tracked against allowances measured in units appropriate to the asset or component type (such as mileage, hours or cycles). Both usage-based and hybrid usage-and-rental-based billing is supported. In addition, usage can be pooled and billed against an aggregation of assets.
