ALFA’s collections functionality has allowed us to enforce our collections policy, through workflow control and automation of key tasks, such as collecting fees and raising letters. In doing so, ALFA is freeing our collectors to focus on more direct customer contact and I am confident that this will lead to improved recovery rates.
ALFA’s comprehensive collections support allows the automation of many common tasks. ALFA uses its own Business Rules Engine to integrate with a delinquency identification matrix to trigger the creation of workflows. These workflows incorporate full automation of early arrears processing, including the production of reminder letters, calculation of late payment interest and generation of late fees - with no user intervention required. Late-stage automated functionality includes functions such as calculation of bad debt provision and bad debt termination.
ALFA workflow routes delinquency cases to suitable collectors at each stage of the collections lifecycle, recording a comprehensive history of actions carried out at each stage, and any contact that has been made. Collector-specific pages provide targeted information and rapid access to commonly used functions, such as the capture of ‘promise to pay’ plans.
Management functions include on-system setting of daily user priorities and assignment of duties. Comprehensive on-screen management information and collector performance statistics facilitate efficient resource targeting.
Industry-standard interfaces provide full integration with automated payment clearing services, credit reference agencies, and support the transfer of collections cases to external agents (debt collectors, legal services).
